  • reggin: Fengist. The fuck are you saying. It's literally a 4% chance to find a rad suit in a wood box/crate. If you open only 25 boxes you are bound to find one. maybe look through 30-35 and find one. That's only an hour of barrel farming TOPS. Prolly not even. Quit your bitching. I played solo the first bp wipe and I did fine. Third day, late(ish) saturday night I got my semi-rifle bp. The day before I had got my semi-pistol bp. SO QUIT YOUR BITCHING you little fucking cunt and get good. I see solo people crying all the time, the thing is solo is a gamble. Somethimes you do good. Other times you do bad. If you knew anything about probability, you'd know that probability doesn't stack, but reset each ''throw'' Which means, that if you have 4% chance to find a radsuit, and you loot one box, that doesn't mean you've got 8% chance when you loot second box. No, the percentage starts from 0 again each crate you open. So it's really possible that he haven't found any radsuit.

  • Well. I Play since Vanilla and reached the 2k hours lately. Right now, it's definitely fcking hard for solo Players. Not to surive, but to achieve something. Like every radtown is fulltime camped by groups with gear and weapons and many of them play 24/7 since they have no work it seems. You know, back in the days with the old bp-system I could at least try my luck and maybe get a weapon this way, but this shit doesn't work now. Ofc I can sneaky peaky run down the street and try to get into some radtowns, but as mentioned, on a high pop server it's nearly impossible to find something useful expect from fcking traps and rugs. Also, how would I be able to farm like 3000-4000 scrap for all the useful stuff? Im glad the bp-system is back since it's a good attempt to increase durability. of servers, but the system needs work. On the other hand, it definitely is pretty damn hard to balance a game like this for solo players and small groups, while clans just steamroll everything... I'm not the average pleb, don't get me wrong. I play the games I play with passion and I love competition. I'm pretty decent at PvP since I used to play CS ESL and all that shit, but as I mentioned, when I can't even get some weapons.. yeah. And yes I absolutely love the bow, but there's no way you win against 3 geared guys with semis unless they suffer heavy autistic attacks. At the end I want to say, that this game is beautiful nonetheless. I cant wait for the complete snow biome update since I love to live in the north!

  • Fengist: And could someone please explain how a solo is supposed to get... well... 2,000+ scrap in order to build what's needed to created any item in the game BEFORE a weekly wipe. Even recycling everything I find I barely get 50 scrap from a monument and that's assuming I live to get it all back home. Maybe dont play on a 1 week wipe server ??
  • I solod a procedural server and got 1000 scrap in just a day. its not hard, just live by a road and loot the road loot often and youll do fine. youll have to live off crossbows until you can find blueprints for guns which are at good monuments which most of the time have groups . its not impossible just hard.
  • nobady cares that game of soloduo trio is destroyed. just go download hacks like every big clan with one "super member" then you can control drops , fly, aim , speed, see lock codes and you get your sweet balance. they add bps not to have it if you dont play in big groups. server wipe, it is funy, after i join server, 2 hours after restart i already see peoples taking down helicopter, while you will run all weak for gatherink scrapo to build 2 lvl bench.

  • Why not go to a solo/duo server.. there are lots of em out there.. Chatnet and Rusty Orphans to name a couple..
  • I mainly solo/duo myself. It isnt easy, that is for sure. Sometimes its not a matter of 'getting good' when I spawn and die within five minutes before I even have the chance to gather materials for bag/hatchet/pickaxe. I just played for an hour and died at least forty times. I've managed to get a bag down.. and a foundation and partial walls of a building thats it. I can't spawn and collect materials because some cancerous fuck decides to off me before I can even get going. Bad updates might hurt a game, sure. But I'd argue the community is fucked to begin with.
  • For solos having trouble trying to get going watch the Bushcraft series. Stashes and wooded boxes in bushes will keep your starter building stuff safe better than on your body. Everyone spawns in a zone so put distance from the beach as soon as you spawn collecting hemp on the way. Use high wooded area and rock to conceal you and your starter. Get in and get out. You always have to assume players are seeing you even if you can see them. Listen well and have a planed route from the second you leave your starter using the land to conceal your movement. From the first shot you make always assume they are calling for help. For me the fun of the game is to thrive and survive by myself.
  • I mean, I've been playing solo for a long time. It really depends on your approach. If you're expecting to get as geared as a clan member would be, you might be able to accomplish it but it would take much longer. Make small short term goals rather than long term wipe goals, eventually you will get raided its just a fact when playing on larger pop servers with clans. Don't expect to loot the entire rad-town or even go for airdrops when contested. Some people play rust for the sense of accomplishment. Others do it for fun.

  • I can see the arguments. Really I can, however there has always been this argument and it has veered back and forth. But the song remains and probably will continue to remain as such. As a solo player myself, I personally have no issues and find that an experienced player knows exactly what one needs to do (especially on a wipe). Finding a weapon seems to be the meta when personally, it is the furthest from my mind. Setting up camp is always priority, for myself. I saw a post a few days ago about a solo player who said he couldn't survive based on health alone. Really? A Player does not know how to feed himself with a multitude of options? I see these massive bases owned by 1 person which is so unnecessary and just puts a bullseye on your home. People go out looking for a fight instead of attempting to survive, get geared then fight. I see constant spam by new players in world. This again, to me is just marking yourself as a target. Trust me, I could go on. Again, I am not disagreeing with you all, I am merely pointing out that I see more issues with peoples complaints about soloing and their problem is really about decision making.
  • I'm not saying I dislike the game, its actually fun imo, otherwise I wouldnt want to keep player. It can just be infuriating at times when I have to respawn 10 times in a row before I have enough resources to do anything about it. Perhaps some blame can be placed on the new spawning system on procedural maps? Now all the new players a grouped into spawning in one section and those that like to take advantage of that know where to go for easy kills. I'm not expecting to get the game changed, I know its all a part of it. But to new players (I just got it on sale on Halloween.) It can be off-putting. Something like a 5-10 min respawn protection would be nice.
