The direction your character is moving determines what kind of melee attack it performs.
Example with Salvaged sword.
Strafe to the right- Swings right.
Strafe to the left- Swings left.
Mid Crouch- Downward slash.
when standing up- Uppercut.
Run forward- Lung to stab.
Moving forward- Randomized slash.
Move backwards, Defensive, Deflect attack.
I'm on-board with this idea. It would make melee combat a whole lot more interesting, imo.
I also believe they should work on some fisticuff stuff. Let me punch someone after they kill me and steal my rock and let me live. Punching could be done in a similar fashion as said above.
