• RustClient.exe Application Error

Whenever I try to open Rust from my Steam menu, I get an error for "RustClient.exe" that says "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000005)..." Does anyone know of a fix for this? I tried reinstalling Rust to no avail. It's been a good 5 months since I've played and I've never had this problem playing Rust in the past. Any help is much appreciated!
Uninstall your game, delete the leftover files in your steamapps directory. Install install the game again and check if it worked.
I did do that already. Uninstalled Rust, deleted "Rust" folder in steamapps and still have the same problem. Thanks for the reply!
in the steam directory there is a EasyAntiCheat folder, open it and run the exe. Select rust and click reinstall.
Did the repair and still the same problem.
mmm, you may need to check if all the prerequisites are installed that is needed to run the game. Install the stuff in the _CommonRedist folder manually. also check if your PC drivers are up to date.
Nope, still nothing. You think it could be a registry issue?
