Genetically engineered humanoids created for testing, entertainment and labor. The reason injecting literal fuel (med syringes, medical kits) heal us is because we're part man, part machine. Food is just a different kind of fuel. Programmed with unlockable knowledge in the bra...
I've seen the exact same thing, Chevleon, and it makes Bears a joke. Their aggro radius is far shorter than the range of a bow. But as I said, yeah, Wolves have done me in before too, but a large amount of the time they'll stop their charge as if they just froze, then resume i...
Realistically? Probably roll over and cry like a bitch while dying. As a bear? Locate the nearest meatsack and charge his ass.
Why are Bears such pussies now?
Stand a moderate distance away and shoot a bear, they'll just run away from you. Sure, it takes like 12 arrows from a bow to kill one, but they won't attack you unless you get close. I can cheese wolves in a similar way, too, they're just a bit more annoying. I thought bears w...
2x1 is worthless. Yeah, alright, 8 satchels to get into your base? If you're rocking an armored door in a 2x1, you're a target already. Make it more than 2 sheet doors, i.e 3, and suddenly they'll just go through one stone wall (10 satchels vs 12 for the door.) 2x1 out of meta...
I had no idea that Incendiary rounds pierced armor! That's really cool, thanks. I might actually use them.
Logical. I can agree to that. Can the Garage Door lock also be moved? It always clips into the side of the wall and drives me nuts.
Christmas in Rust: Fork over $15 extra if you want a nicely themed house! Well, I'm sticking to H'ween houses, because Jack o' Lanterns are free! These are some cool pictures though, nice stuff!
I got cosmetic surgery in Rust, it only cost me 200 HQM. I'm now a beautiful specimen of humanity, and can blend right in with the natives! I sorta like everybody being kinda ugly in Rust. Makes sense. I bet the world judges these poor souls and sends them to this horrible isl...
Don't change your region and purchase games to get them "cheaper", that's extremely against Steam's ToS.
Aw no, fuck that. I'll take simplicity and magical bullet piles over that steaming heap of management. Inventory space is already limited as it is, and I had that system do me over in that Miscreated game. Not fun.
That's good thinking. I was finding it annoying, too, especially since shops cover the map now. Good suggestion.
I'd prefer pigeons. Carrier pigeons. They could only take one item or stack at a time, and would fly to whoever you targetted, and deliver the item. They could be shot down and looted. Make it happen.
yeah should be good tbh put all the settings on lowest (potato in launch options), and feel free to max out view distance. That's how I play anyways. Well, except for texture quality, I slap that up a tiny bit just so walls aren't empty slabs.
Yeah, Rust tends to cap out at around 7-7.5GB of memory for me. I upgraded to 16GB of RAM just because of this. I used to just kill every program save steam. Your 460 isn't terrible, but I have a GTX 770 and I still play Rust on the minimum settings (With viewing distance on m...
I'd like to see Large Wood Boxes get a health increase, possibly. They drop fast. I'm not talking about cupboard levels, but maybe lower the damage they take from melee weapons? Give some value to locking them, because delaying raiders can be vital no matter what. Sounds like ...
Just have it so that if you put any door in an ARMORED frame, it doubles the doors health. Wood becomes 400. Sheet becomes 500. Armored becomes 1600. Pros: It still costs HQM to upgrade the doorframe It just works Cons: literally nothing
How would the Hunting Knife be better? The Bone Knife and Metal Hatchet already give 100% of the harvest possible, with no waste. I suppose if it caused extra to be harvested, but that seems a tad pointless. Damage-wise, we already have the Machete and Salvaged Sword to fill t...
Try typing global.perf 6 into your console the next time you play, you can monitor your memory usage and other such details in the bottom-left. I've been playing Rust with 8GB of RAM for quite some time, but I'm upgrading to 16GB because 8GB doesn't cut it for gaming in 2017. ...
I can understand the changes made, but why are walls so strong when doors are so weak? It used to be that people would always go via the roof, or via your doors, but now people just only blow through doors. As a solo player, I keep my bases small, but while it takes 10 satchel...
Imbalance between Doors/Walls + Possible Suggestion
Thanks, that's interesting to check out. I always used this site. Destruction | Rust Wiki | FANDOM powered by Wikia
My complaint is how half walls cost as much as full walls to build. I understand its probably there to prevent people from making "layered" roofs for cheap, but it really tickles my pickle when I find out how expensive it is!
Do High Stone Walls count for upkeep? I'm seeing so many clan bases layered in them, its ridiculous. Then they have auto-turrets inside the walls. Standard fare, yeah, but I tried to ladder over one of the walls and it took six medical syringes.
yeah i got some pretty hilariously easy loot for my little solo rats nest thanks facepunch, ez
Someone suggested some form of bone walls or barricades, which would be pretty fun. I'd love to, at the very least, see some bone furniture (skulls for the skull throne?) I don't know about, er, if tents would be very useful in Rust, but there certainly has to be other materi...
Those were some fun videos, thanks!
I found some dudes base who has some random wood pieces around his stone base, so I hit the weak sides to half HP and I guess it tried to heal them up, but ran out of wood to maintain and his whole base decayed over like 3-4 hours lmao
I base in the snow most of the time and have no issues with nodes, usually because nobody else lives in the frozen arctic. Deserts have always been pretty popular places to build, so a little extra generation isn't a problem.
That's a good question. I'd assume not, but I would like it if so. You mean by building the first TC on the third level, then one on the first, right?
You'll also notice that the Stone Spear no longer requires a workbench SPEAR2GEAR IS BACK
I'm hoping that they push it to next month anyways. I'd rather a finished, polished system than a month of constant fixes to a broken system. Good video, man.
I don't think that's allowed, Tim.
That's pretty cool, thanks!
