I'm not playing on the server, but reading up on the
current Rust Factions Era has made me wish I had the time (not 'having the time' in this instance basically means a crippling Overwatch and Netflix addiction). If you don't know, Rust Factions is a role-play heavy server that requires people to retain a sense of character while they play, and sets up plots of land for the factions to control and fight over.
The header image was almost enough to make me want to be part of it: yellowhello78
dropped it on reddit, showing off how the server's been carved up, and looking over it dragged me into the server's forum. There you can find Faction
backstories, character
bios, and entire eras of past Rust role-playing. This is the full map, though almost certainly a bit out of date. Factions take over land all the time on there.
It occurs to me that people might not have read
my article on the initial server. This is from the Legacy days, but remains my favourite thing to come out of Rust.
