Community Update 140

The header is taken from a new Banana Duck video, Life of a Roof Camper. I had a whole heap of art to consider for that position, but I thought the shot was so striking and silly that it deserved to be there. And the video is great. You will watch it. Please like and subscribe and all that stuff. I want more of this.

There's a lot of art in this week's update, so prepare your eyeballs. Think about something sad for a bit (I just thought of frog boots), so they get all moist. Now blink a few times. That should be adequate. There's no chance of them drying out now during all the intense staring you're going to be doing. First up is Brullan!, who has been a busy person. They've painted a melodramatic slice of Rust, come up with an idea for a new gun, and a drawn a vista. That's quite a varied selection of sketches, Brullan! Thanks. Scribbler, Blam, has also been busy, turning out three pieces of Rust scenery this week. Take a peek. That's not all. Rizza took pen to screenshot and created this odd little scene (left), and Fenrisúlfr worked on a very subtle piece (right). If it's based on anything, I'd love to know. And there you have all the art.

Brunt Force Trauma went straight for the comedy jugular this week, returning to their not-even-remotely-accurate Rust update show and bringing along Brad from The Rust Zone. Sadly, he survived. None of that is true, FYI.

Speaking of PitchDank. Does anyone else really like the look of that base?

Holdacious's latest solo series has been fun. It's just some chat and some general Rust haps, but engaging. The little encounter at 6.28 made me laugh. I need more bushcraft, mate.

Skinlord Darius Xtab has once again swung through the jungle of the Steam Workshop, punching monkeys and poking tigers, returning with his picks for the week. Rest up brave warrior. Till next week.

Here's a story. I woke up on Saturday to a personal message on reddit. It was this. I reread it a few times, to see if it was someone fishing for information from our PoV with regards to hackers, but after a while I genuinely believed it was a real query. So I replied. I wrote nonsense in the hope that the person would realise that he's not dealing with a swarthy hacker. He did not. If there's a lesson in all this, I haven't worked it out.
