Depresseur popped onto reddit this week with a very odd post. "Got bored, so I decided to make a rust server hub design!" was the title, and now I probably need to explain further.
For one, the server this is for doesn't exist. It's the front-end to nothing. But what it could be, I imagine, is the place where new players first join the game and learn about where they are. Not Rust as a whole, but to a collection of servers run by a single group. Here they'd learn about rules that are applied across the whole of the server collection, how they'd join a specific one, etc. As well as some treats for people who just want to mess about in the hub before moving on.
I like it because I have a deep and abiding love for utilitarian builds. Anything built for a need, but not according to rules, facinates me. Particularly when the real-world's physics don't apply. You end up with something specific and crafted that could only exist there.
