It's always nice to find a new artist. I discovered the header image on Roddar's DeviantArt page, made for France Officiel Gaming. I assume it's full of the group's members, but my shameful lack of being part of a small, unknown group of gamers is clearly holding me back in life. Lovely work, Roddars.
You know what, you never get to see what it's like when a cosplayer puts on their outfit. Here's Tommunism48 with a reverse striptease, slowly and clunkily getting into road-sign armour. It turns out it's rather awkward. And some snaps of it. Also, DLRNemesis's brother made a tuna can lamp. And so did Sue_Naw_Me, who was brave enough to wall mount it. And that's how Rust became real, and how some homes became distressingly flammable.
A lot of Rust Lets Play series stretch out across multiple episodes, sometimes into the hundreds, which makes finding an entry point into them tough. So I was happy to see Mr Memeio has started a very short series, only five eps, of solo survival. There's no gimmicks, no memes, no plans really. It's quite a relaxing watch, and all over in about an hour. First ep is below. Neighbours! Everybody needs good neighbours...
Amidst the clans, war declarations, land grabs, and more on Rust Factions, there's a scavenger called RoboKast. Another series begins. I think he's on during a new ruleset: This era we are introducing a new plugin/game mode, KinglySurvival. KinglySurvival is a custom plugin made by us here at Rust factions that allows for a player to become king of the server and tax his subjects. (only up to 25% of their gathered materials) The era starts with no king and the first to claim it becomes king, at least until they either die of natural causes (i.e. Falling, Bears, Tanks, etc.) or until the king is killed by another. If the king dies of natural causes then anyone can claim it, but if the king is killed by another player, the killer becomes the new king and can change the tax rate and realm name. All items harvested by players, quarries, or collected off the ground will be taxed by the kings set tax rate, and automatically placed into a chest near the castle for the king and his/her men/women to collect and use for their own means. We will get to all the commands you will need for this shortly. If so, this is going to get interesting. Also, please visit this, RoboKast.
The Horde Server is often in this blog by doing ridiculous experiments with AI, but now they're here because this is a nice village. More base tours, please. Also, Holdacious has been on there, hunting zombies.
Ancient evils have arisen and coalesced into weapon skin form. Indiana Xtab has braved the miasma of terror, aka the Steam workshop, and brought back his favourites. Shiny things.
You can tell Brunt Force Trauma is satire by how wrong my shopping list is. Not a square sausage in sight. That toaster needs to be a thing.
Think you're working on something awesome? Tell me all about it. Share your base designs, show off a game-mode from your server, or have you done a cool thing with Code Locks and Vending Machines? There's a dedicated forum post, or you can fish for upvotes in the Subreddit. I also shuffle around the the Steam Community, so feel free to show me to things from there. You can follow and respond to Rust on Twitter, and I'm on there as well. I can't respond to everything, but I read every comment and take it all in.
