Trick or tre - oh, you chose treat. Why does no-one ever choose 'trick'? I had one prepared and everything! Ok, I guess the treat is another grand piece of header art by Brullan, who imagines a player tracking his prey via a trail of blood. I generally just watch for the dude zig-zagging.
Brullan had another piece of art from last week that I didn't cover, because I selfishly held it back to use this week.
I'll cancel the clowns.
Entering a base in Rust is always fraught with danger, but no more so than at this time of the year, where the base dwellers tend to want you to raid them. The paradigm of Rust and base design is inverted at Halloween, because there's lots and lots of Youtubers waiting in the dark, drawing you into their trap bases, turning you into... content.
At least that's what Rcham did.
For the people of PitchDank, it at least seemed consentual.
Over on reddit, RazorSprinter announced his Halloween maze. What he, and the other players didn't know, was that I was briefly and silently spectating. Mwahahaha.
And finally, poopkinz looks to be prepared for any real-world Rust bases this Halloween...
Spoopy!
Speaking of bases, MikeTheVike visited a base with a spooky empty village. Ok, that's a bit of a stretch, but that's also why it's not in the haunted house section.
That castle is such a folly.
In the art this week, lilvagrant drew Rust heavy armoured player in the style of Darkest Dungeon, and Veysel Kara drew us in the style of Rembrandt.
That's me!
Poor Banana Duck has had a hell of a time, lately. Despite the fact he's embraced the zerg life, I'll show this fun little video he made. Stop at 30 secs if you want to avoid the "reeeee!"
Just the once and never again.
Nateda paid tribute to Rust in Rust, in a display of a billion campfires. Apparently you can see this from the moon. And I'm not even talking about Earth's, either.
Yup, that's definitely one billion. Don't count them, as it would take too long.
Think you're working on something awesome? Tell me all about it. Share your base designs, show off a game-mode from your server, or have you done a cool thing with Code Locks and Vending Machines?
There's a dedicated forum post, or you can fish for upvotes in the Subreddit. I also shuffle around the the Steam Community, so feel free to show me to things from there. You can follow and respond to Rust on Twitter, and I'm on there as well.
I can't respond to everything, but I read every comment and take it all in.
