Other games remade in Rust, custom maps, and more.

The header image this week is from Reponja123. Here it is in all its glory. Good work! Bit of a short blog this week, thanks to a long weekend here in the UK.
Though the games industry probably isn't old enough to have its own proverbs, I think that we'll eventually be able to say something like: "Dust2 is only an editor away", which is to say that when people get a hold of a game's mapping tools, dust2 will follow. That's the Rusty Cartographers way. Kiltrout/goar, maker of the wasteland and waterworld maps we've featured before, has been recreating dust2, as you can see. It should be popping up on his wasteland map. Meanwhile, Feather took some different inspiration, and is building a map based on the Elder Scrolls. It has burning gates, giant fungii, and more. Want to try it? Open the F1 menu and connect with client.connect Finally, mezamorphis is working on a custom monument, a goliath of a comms tower.
I can't wait to see that thing on the horizon.
With the new custom maps coming, I've paid a little bit less attention to in-game builds. Luckily you guys have a carried on regardless. MikeTheVike documented a colosseum build that ended up being a raid-cam. And airspeedmph built a cathedral (a month ago) that could also be a castle. Whatever it is, it's nice.
If there's one thing that the Battlefield V trailer was missing, it was Rust. WayZ fixed that by remaking it in our game. Great work.
Chemists Science Laboratories made a trailer for their Rust escape room. Ah, Rust Factions. You are silly sods.
