This is a pretty neat story about Vertiigo & TankGirl. They originally met in Rust and maintained an online/long distance relationships for years. If you've been in the Rust scene for a while chances are you've heard of this notorious couple.
TankGirl (Sara) eventually moved across the globe to be with Vertiigo (Brendon). Later that year he proposed!
Out of this blossomed a beautiful charity event. NIN did and amazing job on the map and Bugs @ Rustafied officiated the ceremony. I had the pleasure of attending (so did Helk, but he'll deny it) and it was perfect!
Here's Vert's recap of the event.
Mr. Wobbles was the wedding singer too, he has his version here.
Their charity campaign is still live on Tiltify for COVID relief if you'd like to help!
While we're on this roleplay band-wagon I want to draw some attention to a band of gear heads known as "Kachow" on the Rust Factions server. This trailer of theirs is put together nicely. Give me a bit of a mad-max feel minus the Pixar. ;)
If this is up your alley you can join their discord!
This month we have BernE! He's been a long time member of the Rust community and has recently been known for his movie-type videos.
"There is one person that I really have to give credit to for the beginning of my Rust journey.. and that is my best friend Tom. He actually gifted me the game one day and insisted that I would enjoy it. Truth be told I kind of ignored him and didn’t even play it for the first few months of having it in my library.. But then one day I finally caved in and decided to give it a shot. Believe it or not, my first ever time in the unpredictable world of Rust was playing as a caveman in a roleplay server owned by a streamer named “JamJar”.
I still remember the days of when the m249 was first introduced and dome was the scariest thing in the game to me. Honestly thinking back.. It’s the “roleplayers” that played a HUGE part of my love for Rust. Without them, I would have never had the idea of pressing the record button and creating the start of my very very unexpected career. My interest only grew throughout the years and I was able to meet some of my now dearest friends. Welyn, Pablito, Blooprint, Enardo, Rasq, the list goes on and on.
So FancyOrb has a knack for the cinematic stuff. "This is America" was recreated in Rust! If you don't actually internet, ever, the original is here.
He's always looking for people to help! If you're interested in getting into cinematics or want to be an extra you can join his Discord.
