All the art, an in-game casino expands, and a Youtuber meets--and kills-a fan.

A few updates ago, EpicMilk123 topped this very webpage with art inspired by both Rust and Firewatch. They've gone and made my job a lot easier by making some more, though the colour scheme is different. The top image is just one of a few made in the past week. Ser Winter loved the original enough he actually commissioned some for his Youtube channel header. Thank you, EpicMilk123. You are truly an outstanding dairy product.
Two posts in and this blog already has two call backs to previous posts. In this case it's to UK Wasteland's casino, which was featured last week. Briefly, it's a plug-in on the UK Wasteland server that enables players to bet resources on what's basically roulette. Rust being Rust, this was held in a shack, but it inspired the ever lovely Holdacious to build a palace worthy of such a game. It proved to be quite an event, drawing in Youtubers and even Facepunch staff for the grand opening. And if you want to see that from Argyle's perspective, here's his POV. That turned out to be a regular Youtuber convention, didn't it?
There's been quite an uptick in artists being inspired by Rust. On the left is M.Kubilay Kaya's I'm Friendly, and on the right is SuperMcAwesome's Raider's Motto. SuperMcAwesome has also dumped a load of his art on Imgur, so have a peek. Also, is this panorama art?
Treacle throated KCmo usually builds bases that confound and delight raiders, but he's trying to diversify. His fans asked him to just play the game, and he did. Here's what it looks like when he's not building trap houses and glitching our beautifully balanced and perfectly made game. Watch the first minute and you'll be hooked. It's very well set-up. That was genuinely tense at times. I was amused at how quickly he deployed his cupboard. All his skills finally have a use!
Horsey throat gurner Shadowfrax has a solo survival series where he runs into a unique issue: he builds a trap house that kills someone who's wearing one of his t-shirts. For a short time, he is wearing his own avatar on his chest, which is the least incognito thing anyone has ever done. What a life? Just sitting around listening for traps to loudly trip.
A Legacy moment with the Bare Minimum Bandits, brought back to life in animation. I miss those guys.
Think you're working on something awesome? Tell me all about it. Now's the time to share your base designs, or get into the growing Raid Cam business, or show off a game-mode from your server, or if your server has an interesting theme. There's a dedicated forum post, or you can fish for upvotes in the Subreddit. I also shuffle around the the Steam Community, so feel free to show me to things from there. You can follow and respond to Rust on Twitter, and I'm on there as well. I can't respond to everything, but I read every comment and take it all in.
