The header is from woodrowcmayer, who drew a scene... well, I'll let them explain: "The idea for the drawing was that this lone raider, Yao Mei, ladder raids a lone base and finds that the active user left their doors open. This leads to her gathering lots more loot than possibly necessary. The motive for the raid quickly changes from stealing components to getting neat Christmas gifts for her compatriots at home base." It's technically a Christmas story! How nice. An absolute delight! I hope there's more to come.
On the Rusty Moose server, sippytango got into the Christmas spirit in glorious fashion. On reddit, IT_Xaumby built a firing range: And this is technically a base... in which Rcham traps people and gets Mr. Wobbles to sing Christmas carols. It's rather scary. I'd hoped to end the year on a 'reeeeeeee' free blog. Ah well.
Just one piece of art this week, but it's another one from the strange, strange world of DeviantArt. It's nice to end the year with someone new. Elitex2211 dropped a server image for the delightfully named Angry Mob. I had a look around their site and it's not as angry as I thought. In fact, they're quite nice. It's a lovely work of art, Elitex2211.
The wonderfully named ClintBeastwood filmed a drugs bust in Rust. It's really well done. This is all Petur's fault.
Even the best of us have our demons. Ser Winter ended up gambling for rocks. And how do you get rocks? You kill nakeds... Lovely bit of storytelling, mate.
A furnace filled selection from Rust's frontispiece expert, Xtab. That metal one is riveting... ahahaha.
Trying to make a complicated video? Here's how to do green screen in Rust, via Banana Duck. That's all for now. See you next year.
Think you're working on something awesome? Tell me all about it. Share your base designs, show off a game-mode from your server, or have you done a cool thing with Code Locks and Vending Machines? There's a dedicated forum, or you can fish for upvotes in the sub reddit. I also shuffle around the the Steam Community, so feel free to show me to things from there. You can follow and respond to Rust on Twitter, and I'm on there as well.
