The header is a little different. It's an avatar by hobo_Clarke on reddit, handily made as a vector so we can make it huuuuuuge. I like it when even simple things are detailed, so the thumb and bloody eye sockets are unpleasantly pleasing. Good work, Clarke. I believe he's taking commissions in Reddit DM...
Loads of builds this week, mostly poking up through the mists of reddit. Like, for example, this crane by UGPromotions. I liked it so much I popped onto his server to take some shots. Not to be outdone, xposedbones built a bridge. It was so impressive that the rest of the server helped out, turning the job into metaphorical bridge building as well. Once again, MikeTheVike takes to his server to interview the base builders. He pops into a tourist resort, which is big, but my favourite moment is the visit to the English dude's UK shrine. He has a box of anthems, like all good Britishers. And XTneoX has been prepping for the next update by building a boathouse. I can't wait to see more boathouses.
About halfway through Soup's raid gone so very wrong, I realised I was essentially watching a bottle episode of Rust: usually in TV that means an episode confined to a single location, either to keep the budget low or to tell a particular story. In this instance, it means the principal player is locked in a raided base while his friend is left outside... That was a lot of action and drama for a little base.
The excellently named Jordan Symington worked on a UI concept. And ciciocosmin continued to toss art at the subreddit. And that was the art.
Every time I check Colon Blow's channel, I see a Rust from a different universe. This time around, he's added fishing. It's basically Far Cry 5 at this point.
Welyn shows off the power of small stashes. And hitting most shots. You all are subbed to him, yeah?
In an alternate universe, Xtab has forgotten to send me the link to his latest skin round-up. Oh, wait. That was this universe. Ahem!
No need for a comment, really. \m/
Think you're working on something awesome? Tell me all about it. Share your base designs, show off a game-mode from your server, or have you done a cool thing with boats? There's a dedicated forum, or you can fish for upvotes in the sub reddit. I also shuffle around the the Steam Community, so feel free to show me to things from there. You can follow and respond to Rust on Twitter, and I'm on there as well.
