The header is from Rizza Gaming. 1) It's art. 2) It's a fun way of showing off a skin they've made. If you recognise the name of the creator, that's because they've appeared here loads of times, keeping the Raid Cam business alive. And, happily, they've made another. It starts off rather heavily... I love that a balloon pops up to watch the raid from the air. 2018 Rust is quite a thing.
One thing I've realised is that we've shown off a lot of the more ridiculous aspects of the upcoming Electricity Update, but not a lot of what it means for bases and builds. Clocks are cool, but the new update will obviously change base-building in a fundamental way. In case you didn't realise the sort of automation you can achieve, here's Mako showing off a 'panic button' that slams all the garage doors shut. Relatively simple and effective. And, while you're here, Joel DeBolt made... this. I couldn't resist showing you something a bit silly.
All I really wanted when we added balloons to the game was to see a 1vs1 balloon battle. And Vertiigo has delivered in his usual fashion. And he's just topped 500k subscribers. Glorious. Glad to see MrMoon popping his head back into Rust for a video.
So Charitable Rust has come and gone, and raised over $50k for the chosen charity. If you weren't there, no matter. We have a wee look at one of the attractions right here. Creator ninfinity built the Haunted Swamp Adventure: a large scale puzzle piece that needed to be hosted on its own server in order to remain appropriately spooky. Take a look, if you dare. Nin also made this amazing piece of shadow art. I love that we have creators like this making Rust things.
Keirox has made another map. It'll be up on the Cosa Nostra servers this week and, as you can see, it's a nice place for screenshots. Not that you'll have time to sight-see. Those servers are terrifying,
Once again, canyourubmybuddha has been rolling his own version of Rust. I had to show you what he's done with the Cargo Ship. Still in awe of that absolute unit.
hJune saved his friends. Inevitable.
Think you're working on something awesome? Tell me all about it. Share your map designs, show off a game-mode from your server, let us see your cool base. I can't wait to see your electrical contraptions. There's a dedicated forum, or you can fish for upvotes in the subreddit. I also shuffle around the the Steam Community, so feel free to show me to things from there. You can follow and respond to Rust on Twitter, and I'm on there as well.
