Sorry for the downtime. We're trying our best.
The patch isn't ready, so we're not releasing one today. Here's why...

Help
Hello. The patch on Thursday is going to change a bunch of stuff. We have a new Unity update (going from 5.4 to 5.6) and the new Ai system. We want to fill the test server with people to catch any large performance issues or dumb Ai issues before we actually release.
A year ago I posted this blog where I reviewed what we had done that year, and layed out our plans for upcoming year. It's probably a good idea to do that again.
Wool is Rust, but not as you know it. It's a simulation of a server, using AI in place of both animals and players, built to prove a theory the creator had about Rust's gameplay. I talked to the creator about why he's making it, what it can do, and the future of the program.
Every Rust player has a story--or stories--to tell. Some day I'll tell you of the time I haunted another player with campfires, and how he killed me with a rock. While that sort of bloody revenge underpins a lot of Rust, there are larger stories to tell. Some servers have stories. Some even have histories. Rust Factions has eras.
